Senior Account Manager - Retail Special Execution
Purpose of the job
The Senior Account Manager will work with a global sports retail client, managing the creative and production of special execution retail campaigns. You will build strong client and internal stakeholder relationships, be strategic in driving growth within the special execution team, write and manage creative briefs through our dedicated studio and have experience in delivering effective multi-channel retail campaigns. This role will play a key part in a special execution team working alongside local market client service teams in creating strong relationships with identified key client stakeholders, influencing briefs, driving solutions and delivering effective campaigns.
The perfect candidate will have either senior agency experience and production management experience with a proven track record for delivering client solutions in retail, digital asset creation and content creation campaigns.
As Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for:
- Delivering operational excellence
- Delivering effective growth strategies and managing the opportunities for these clients
- Managing and developing key client relationships
- Managing and owning the project cycle
- Achieve and excel growth targets
You will be a confident ‘self starter’ with excellent communication, relationship building and organisational skills. Strong client facing and presentation skills are essential as is a strategic brain and the ability to question the norm and look outside the box.
Key responsibilities
- Working with the dedicated internal studio and strategic suppliers to deliver the best solutions. The Senior Account Manager will have the ability to influence client thinking to produce outstanding results.
- Our ideal candidate will also have an intuitive understanding of agency operations and be able to direct strategy and work with the teams to deliver solutions.
- Attending WIPs and meetings and taking / influencing key briefs from clients showing a clear understanding of campaign requirements.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key contacts that supports the growth of the account through strategic account development.
- Manage end to end campaign commercials ensuring deliverables are within budgets set.
- Providing technical input and strategic creative advice on projects as required to achieve high quality standards
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- Strong Client Service experience and has built credible customer relationships at senior level.
- Sound financial reporting and forecasting experience.
- Good understanding of Marketing Services concepts
- Naturally builds and maintains rapport with the client.
- Is comfortable analysing and interpreting financial data and produces accurate reports.
- Works collaboratively with others in pursuit of team goals.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Takes a logical and systematic approach to work.
- Takes a flexible approach to work and encourages others to do so.
- Strong negotiation and consensus building skills when dealing with internal customers, stakeholders and team members.
