Human Resources, Admin Specialist
THE ROLE
The HR Specialist is a critical role responsible for managing and updating HR records, ensuring the accuracy of payroll data, and maintaining compliance with local labor laws and regulations. This position involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure consistency between paper and system records, accurate compensation and insurance calculations, and effective implementation of employee incentive programs. The HR Specialist also plays a key role in managing personnel costs, overseeing employee activities, and providing statistical data for HR plans and factory management. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a comprehensive understanding of HR functions within a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
HR Records & Operations Management
· Manage and update HR records, including employee files and professional licenses, while assisting with regular ISO quality document reviews for the site. Ensure consistency between paper and system records.
· Maintain the accuracy of HR system data in Taiwan, making timely updates and conducting regular database audits for corrections.
· Manage the personnel and payroll database, providing statistical data for the execution of HR plans or factory management, and report when necessary.
· Execute tasks assigned by MD/OD/HRBP Managers and fulfill the responsibilities expected of HR.
Payroll and Compensation
· Track employee training outcomes, probationary assessments, and manage processes that could affect the accuracy of payroll data.
· Review attendance and calculate payroll for the Taiwan region, ensuring accuracy in compensation and insurance.
· Ensure no data is missing during the implementation of employee incentive programs, and that supporting documentation meets control standards.
· Track and manage any factors affecting operational personnel costs, such as employee insurance.
Compliance and Documentation
· Regularly complete required documentation for regulatory reviews to ensure that all compliance tasks are completed on schedule.
· Ensure legal policies and procedures (including region-specific compliance requirements) are followed and maintained.
Employee Engagement and Relations
· Progressive Discipline escalation and management.
· Employee care & deliver company core values.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Requires bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business Management or related field. Certification as a Human Resources professional through an approved agency is preferred.
· Requires a comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (a minimum of 3 years required) to include Employee salary calculation, local labor laws and current minima wage.
· Previous experience in HR field with understanding of manufacturing functional areas and their interactions, and a working knowledge of continuous improvement /Lean manufacturing.
· Must have demonstrated capability in problem solving, conflict resolution and working within site culture. In depth knowledge of HR functional knowledge.
· Extroverted, willing to engage with unfamiliar groups, eager to take on challenges, and eager to try tasks or projects they haven't done before.
· Proficient in Excel functions (such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.); strong Excel skills preferred.
· Basic English; written and spoken
