Role Overview:

The Product Function at Tes is transforming and expanding. As a result, we are looking for multiple experienced Product Managers to own parts of our portfolio, specifically focusing on front-end customer value (rather than technical back-end, API, or data product roles). This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future direction of our products, driving real change that makes a difference for teachers, students, and parents. You will work within a matrix structure in a hybrid scaled agile model, collaborating with key functions such as Engineering, Data, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Discover:

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one large product or a collection of smaller related products, managing portfolios with annual revenue in the £millions.

  • Work with sales and finance to translate customer value into offerings and pricing models.

  • Implement and manage intake processes to gather product ideas, prioritize roadmaps, and communicate outcomes.

  • Conduct research, competitor analysis, technology horizon scanning, and customer visits to shape future product direction.

Deliver:

  • Define high-level initiatives and epics, ensuring key functionality areas are identified.

  • Support Product Owners in detailed design work, user story development, and UX collaboration.

  • Prioritize and address emergent issues during the delivery phase.

  • Drive business change, engaging stakeholders for successful product rollouts.

  • Lead product improvement initiatives, mentoring junior staff where required.

Drive:

  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches.

  • Establish key success metrics and ensure effective communication of performance insights.

  • Own P&L responsibilities, collaborating with Sales & Marketing to ensure financial success.

  • Gather insights through analytics, customer feedback, and service reviews to shape future product strategies.

What will you need to succeed?

Experience:

  • Essential: Proven Product Management experience beyond the delivery phase.

  • Highly Desirable: Experience in a SaaS product organization (B2B or B2C).

  • Highly Desirable: End-to-end ownership of products, including defining and delivering new offerings.

  • Highly Desirable: Experience managing product P&L, pricing structures, and operational cost tracking.

Knowledge:

  • Essential: Hybrid agile delivery models, business case creation, and financial awareness.

  • Desirable: Experience in matrix delivery organizations and familiarity with agile delivery management.

  • Nice to Have: Education sector experience.

Skills:

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive initiatives in a transforming environment.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Capability to lead process improvements and mentor junior product professionals.

  • Familiarity with Jira and Figma.
