About the Role:

We are looking for a Practice Lead with a strong technology background to oversee the engineering practice at our Pune location. This individual will be responsible for understanding the teams’ capability, and foster their career growth, thereby aiding the organization’s growth. This individual will be responsible for mentoring and grooming the team to meet the needs of the organization. 

This individual’s functional line manager is the Senior Practice Manager for the Network Services unit of CACI Ltd. The role will have a reporting line into the Head of CACI India.  

This individual will work closely with internal coordinators, individual team members, including Network Engineers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Java Developers, ensuring a collaborative growth journey.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

Point of Contact (POC): Serve as the bridge between internal teams and client-deployed resources, ensuring smooth coordination and communication. 

Performance Management: Conduct regular evaluations, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with company and client expectations. 

Career Development: Mentor and guide technical resources, facilitating career growth and upskilling opportunities. 

Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and arrange necessary technical and soft skills training for the team. 

Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with managers and HR to define objectives and address challenges. 

Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient processes for resource deployment, engagement tracking, and productivity enhancement. 

 

Key Requirements:

8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role. 

An experienced technical lead in Networking or software development projects. 

Potential to oversee staffing, resource augmentation, and allocation of skilled professionals based on project needs. 

Strong understanding of resource management, performance evaluation, and training frameworks. 

Proven experience working with cross-functional teams, including software developers, business analysts, and project managers. 

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment between company and client expectations. 

Experience in handling resource augmentation and workforce planning.

Experience in risk management 

Experience in presenting to key stakeholders 

Certification in Networking (CCNA, CCNP, etc.) is a plus.

Education:
