Key Responsibilities:
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking to build on our existing presence in the Location Intelligence industry and related organisations. As an Agile Scrum Master working for the Product Strategy & Implementation team, and as part of a broad and hybrid team of staff in the UK and India, you will be responsible for high level planning, project deliverables and ensuring high quality levels are maintained from both a project and people perspective. Reporting into the Head of Product, you will be responsible for understanding the customer’s priorities and their technical challenges. You will also work closely with the rest of the engineering teams, testing teams, and subject matter experts to ensure we fully realise the project deliverables and meet the customers’ expectations.
Core skills, knowledge, experience required:
Scrum responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the team lives agile values and principles.
- Managing the scrum of a number of agile teams, responsible for tracking, reporting, and managing risk, issues and budgets to enable successful project delivery.
- Facilitating meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Leading delivery from a position of influence, often taking a servant-leadership stance.
- Managing relationships with key business stakeholders, resolving escalations as required.
- Clearing obstacles, establishing an environment where the team can be effective.
- Addressing team dynamics, ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team.
- Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
- Providing all reporting materials on project success to varying tiers of management.
- Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
- Understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle.
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with key technical stakeholders and championing their requirements
- Supporting the management of customer relationships ensuring we meet client goals while achieving company commercial objectives.
- Ability to build and maintain high performing teams.
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience working for a software / web development organisations
- Previous experience in a Project Management / Scrum Master role.
- Experienced leading the implementation & delivery of software solutions including architecture, design, development and testing. Project commercial awareness, such as budget tracking and forecasting
- Facilitating Scrum Ceremonies and implementing best practice Agile methodology
- In-depth experience working with Agile / SCRUM / Kanban delivery approaches
Desirable
- Experience within the Geospatial / Location Intelligence sector
