Esri Ireland - GIS Consultant
Location: Flexible within the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced GIS Consultant to join our Professional Services Team. Our business is built on the belief that knowing where things happen matters. We are a software and services organisation specialising in the application of Geographical Information Systems (GIS). We are a growing team of over 80 full time employees and 25 contract employees. We work with over 300 customers across 17 different industry sectors, making us the largest GIS company on the island of Ireland. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:
- Interact with a wide variety of organisations across a range of industries including transportation, public safety, government, utilities, insurance, the natural environment and retail to deliver solutions based on GIS.
- Consult with our clients and act as a trusted technical advisor, helping to demonstrate best practice with Esri technology and growing a customer’s understanding of the ArcGIS Platform.
- Consulting/cooperating with clients (either individually or as part of a team) to understand requirements and then implementing GIS-based solutions to meet those requirements.
- Provide technical input and guidance for business development and sales opportunities.
- Maintain and develop an understanding of the ArcGIS Platform and how it can be used by our customers to solve real-world problems.
- Create desktop, web and mobile applications that use Esri technology.

- Have experience in some or all of the following: ArcGIS Pro / Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Mobile Apps and/or ArcGIS Online and web technologies
- Have some experience of scripting or developer environments such as JavaScript, REST and Python, or web design experience such as HTML, CSS however, this is not essential.
- Knowledge/experience of server and/or cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) is desirable but not essential
- Can prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Experience of consulting with clients to understand their needs
- Are naturally curious and inquisitive, good at creating and nurturing relationships, and enthusiastic about problem-solving

Location: Flexible! Our Republic of Ireland team is working fully remotely and we have an office in Northern Ireland (Holywood, Co. Down). We are open to flexible working arrangements from anywhere on the island of Ireland.
