THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Research Analyst to conduct research, including in-person interviews, into the legal and professional services sector across a portfolio of jurisdictions and practice areas.
The successful candidate will analyze law firm submissions and interview leading lawyers and their clients, to benchmark law firms and lawyers in their markets and to support LBG’s industry awards. The candidate will also help produce and/or generate market intelligence that underpins editorial content and thought leadership reports.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Research Analyst is responsible for:
- Identifying, analyzing and building relationships with key firms and lawyers in select markets
- Evaluating a law firms’ and lawyers’ service offerings, strategies, and market reputation and positioning
- Conducting comprehensive research to understand legal trends, market dynamics, and market-shaping deals / cases
- Gathering and compiling quantitative and qualitative data to support research output, editorial analysis and internal intelligence gathering
- Monitoring country and regional trends to provide insights into how markets are evolving
- Providing strategic recommendations based on research findings, supporting the development of business strategies and decision-making
- Providing insights into niche markets and emerging opportunities
- Balancing various research methods, including surveys, interviews, and data analysis, to gather and interpret data
- Contributing to the output of research findings and insights to clients in a clear and understandable manner
- Supporting Senior Research Analysts and Heads of Research in their preparation of detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings, insights, and actionable recommendations and solutions
- Attending legal conferences and events to stay connected with industry professionals, when applicable
- Representing the brand at events and in meetings
