  1. THE ROLE

We're looking for a driven, dynamic, and talented Marketing Executive to join GlobalCapital.

 

GlobalCapital, delivers capital markets intelligence and is considered a trusted voice for bankers, borrowers, lawyers, investors, regulators, trading platforms and other industry experts.

 

Guided by the Head of Marketing, you will play a key role in enabling GlobalCapital achieve its subscriptions revenue growth targets for both new and renewed business by effectively developing and executing integrated campaigns across multiple digital channels, and by building expertise in the key sectors of the capital markets to segment the audience..

 

As a Marketing Executive, you will understand the full customer journey and identify where the customer is in their lifecycle, meet their needs, and progress them across four key stages: awareness (reach), interest (act), decision (convert), loyalty & advocacy(engage).

 

You will be driven and confident in bringing ideas and suggestions to the table to drive subscription growth; you will have ambition to deliver best-in-class marketing campaigns, asking questions, collaborating, innovating, testing ideas, and staying abreast of marketing trends.


You will also play a key role in the marketing of some of our live events, designing promotional campaigns, co-ordinating audience development efforts and working with production on creating event web pages and populating them with engaging and informative content

 

  1. KEY OBJECTIVES

Execute effective and efficient integrated marketing campaigns across a range of digital channels, including email and both organic & paid social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Google Ads).

 

Work with the Heads of Marketing and Sales to translate strategies into marketing campaigns that are tailored to each specific objective (new business, upsell, cross-sell, win-back, engagement, loyalty) and monitor and analyse campaign performance to report on results, specifically attribution and influence

 

Work with the Head of Marketing, Events and both Sales and Editorial teams identifying a clear target audience in order to plan and execute efficiently to achieve the highest impact.

 

Develop a clear understanding of new business lead requirements – working with Head of New Business Sales on generating high quality leads in the volume required by the business.

 

Collaborate with the Marketing Technology team to create automated programmes that nurture and engage audiences – this will include the development of landing pages using GlobalCapital’s CMS.

 

Build effective relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. marketing, sales, editorial, product, business intelligence) to understand the market and the customer’s entire journey.

 

Work closely with the Head of Events on excellent audience outreach efforts, ensuring that GlobalCapital events are attended by senior market participants through the creation of high quality and accurate communications across the GC website, social media and emails. 

 

Working with the Head of Events, Head of Sales and relevant editorial team members on creating first-class event web pages, ensuring they are engaging and informative and help drive audiences.

 

Develop market and product knowledge to create the right message, selecting the right content, for the right people.

  1. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

 

Knowledge and skills

1+ years’ experience in B2B digital marketing, growth marketing, or lifecycle marketing, required

 

Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing plans adhering to strict deadlines and within an agreed budget, required

 

Experience using Marketing automation platforms (e.g. Pardot), CRM (e.g.Salesforce), and CMS (e.g. Brightspot), required

 

Ability to write compelling and relevant marketing copy, required

 

Knowledge of managing integrated campaigns and building reports, required

 

Good knowledge of Analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), required

 

Advanced English language (written and spoken), required

 

IT literate; MS office, in-house marketing database, in-house web and email packages and advanced Excel, required

 

Experience of working on commercial events such as conferences or private briefings, preferred

 

Marketing experience within the financial services, preferred

 

Marketing experience within the B2B publishing industry, preferred
