Financial/Data Reporting Analyst

What will you do?
Reporting to the VP Finance, you will support our monthly reporting, annual budget cycle and ad hoc analysis. You will also support the implementation of system and process improvements focused on data management, reporting standardization, and automation. In this position you will frequently collaborate with the Accounting team, Central Finance, and work closely with the leadership team to drive business decision making.
Management & Sales Reporting
- Manage comprehensive data sets across different systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and OneStream to produce periodic reports on financial and operating KPIs.
- Ensure reporting is robust, flexible to accommodate changes, and foolproof to minimize errors.
- Track changes and transfers within the operating budgets.
- Work with the Senior Finance Business Partner and the VP Finance to monitor, analyze, and explain results against budget or forecast.
- Manage sales data for monthly reports and commission calculations, lead the commissions calculation process and submissions to payroll.
- Support ad-hoc reporting requests from within the company, or from Central Finance.
Financial Planning and Strategy
- Support the monthly reforecasting process and the annual budget process.
- Maintain files andsystems that drive forecasting and commissions.
- Contribute to system implementations (Finance and BI/MI systems), improvements, and integrations.
- Assist the leadership team in measuring department performance on a team and individual level.
- Work with Accounting to ensure complex accounting judgements are correctly reflected in planning assumptions.
Review processes to identify areas of improvement, proactively share ideas on efficiency gains and streamlining of tasks.
Experience & Skills to be Successful in this Role:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in analytical and/or reporting roles in finance/accounting.
- University degree in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA or Finance designation an asset.

- Ability to identify data and reporting risk to integrate strong controls and mitigating checks.
- Advanced ability working withing Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and the full Microsoft Suite.
- OneStream, Netsuite, Tableau, or PowerBI experience is a big plus.
- Specific knowledge of and interest in financial markets would be an asset.
