Road Freight Customs Administrator | Full time | Dover 

 

The Customs Administrator would be responsible for completing Customs paperwork accurately for road freight movements into and out of the UK.

The role’s key responsibilities are:

 

The Customs Administrator would be completing paperwork for vehicles arriving or departing through a multitude of ports.  

Key Role Content

  • Completion of import and export entries through ASM Sequoia.
  • Completion of T1 documents through ASM Sequoia.
  • Completion of Consols/Shipments through Cargowise.
  • Invoicing clients - ensuring receipt of funds before clearance where necessary.
  • Keeping the clients aware of irregularities/clearances.
  • We are not 24 hours and so once familiar with the work/systems you would be put on a callout rota and would be expected to be able to work on your own at times.

What we need from you:

 

Skills & Experience

  • One year + experience in completion of Customs paperwork.

 

Behaviours

  • Be able to complete Customs paperwork to a high standard/accuracy.
  • Be able to work in a small team – occasionally under pressure with time constraints.
  • Be punctual and flexible should overtime be required (overtime would be paid).
  • Excellent organisational and time-management capabilities.
  • Demonstrates a positive, ‘can do’ attitude in the face of challenges and change.
