Customs Administrator
Customs Administrator| Full time| Office Based | Southampton.
Reporting the Customs Team Leader, you will be part of this great team and be someone who has a strong administration background.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients
- Obtaining and communicating internally and externally all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met
- Managing, printing and sorting of customer documentation
- Ensuring documentation has been obtained within the timescales set.
- Obtain correct and accurate data from our suppliers’ websites
- Inputting data and maintaining an efficient filing system
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Working well as part of a team and continually improving processes
- Availability to work 1 in 4 weekends on a team rota
- Advise customers of shipping details and forwarding necessary documentation
- Comply with the required laws and regulations for import and export of supplies and products.
- Resolve any arising problems and complaint.
- Monitor the email inbox, resolve queries or escalate as appropriate.
- Continuously review and improve processes.
- Obtain and communicate internally and externally all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met
- Managing, printing and sorting of customer documentation
- Liaise with our customers to ensure all the appropriate documentation is correct and completed within a tight timeline.
- Upload data to the systems ensuring supporting documents are also added.
- Availability to work 1 in 4 weekends on a team rota
- Comfortable working in a performance-based environment, measurable by KPI data
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Experience. Previous experience within an import/export/customs environment would be advantageous but not essential as full training would be provided. To be considered for this excellent opportunity you must have strong administration skills.
Communication. Show us that you have excellent communication skills, spoken and written and have the ability to engage and communicate with audiences made up of a diverse background across all areas of EV Cargo.
