Production Executive
Purpose of the Job
Are you a detail-oriented, technically skilled professional ready to assist in the production process for high-profile client designs? As a Production Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting Production Managers, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring order planning, production execution, packaging of articles and much more, while aiming to meet the highest standards.
In this role, you will complement the project team by placing detailed orders in our ERP system (Infor M3), managing supplier production, and overseeing the quality and timeliness of the final products. You will work closely with design engineers, production managers, account/project managers, warehouse staff, logistic managers, and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Production Managers to ensure accurate and timely production of the quality and profitable goods.
- Collect and file final documentation, including renderings, drawings, and instruction manuals.
- Prepare cost estimates for Production Managers and send production orders to suppliers.
- Oversee assembly and packing of articles, conducting pre-installation site reviews and store checks as needed.
- Use the ERP system to document all production-related information and technical documentation.
- Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and liaise between different material suppliers for cross-production checks.
- Act as the contact person for internal teams and suppliers regarding project status and production details.
- Provide clear and timely solution-oriented communication to suppliers and internal team members.
- Ensure the quality and on-time delivery of production articles.
- Collaborate with the QC Department on inspections at supplier facilities and on incoming components to our warehouse.
- Ensure packaging standards reflect client needs.
- Manage claims of damaged or missing components.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- Experience in production, ideally in retail fixture fabrication or related industry.
- Technical education in furniture, mechanical, civil engineering, or architecture is a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings is essential.
- Basic knowledge of materials and production technologies in joinery, metal works, plastics, printing, and glass works.
- Strong project execution skills, including sourcing and documenting relevant information and following procedures.
- Open, honest, and direct communication style.
- Good communication skills for both personal and written interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
- Stress-resistant and able to maintain focus under time pressure.
- Ability to multitask without losing focus and control.
- Ability to prioritize and work with other team members to clearly define priorities.
- Perfectionist with a high level of attention to detail.
- Advanced level of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with 3D design software is a plus.
- Professional level of English required for daily written and verbal communication, including at least intermediate technical English.
- Another language relevant to client needs is an advantage.
