Business Leadership Graduate – Product/Marketing/Operations

Salary: £27,500 (year 1)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Duration:  September 2025 to September 2027

Who can apply: We’re looking for people with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. In order to apply you must have either graduated, or will graduate in 2025, with a minimum 2:2 degree in any subject.

Location: Hybrid - A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office, we have hubs in London, Bristol, Manchester and Oxford.

About the role:

The Business Leadership Programme will give you the opportunity to work within our Customer and Sector Enablement directorate, this will give you the chance to gain valuable experience within three different business placements. The chance to work on real-life challenges and projects and learn about every part of our directorate’s varied remit will open up a world of opportunities that you may not get with other graduate programmes. You will be fully supported with dedicated line management relevant to the business area you’ll be working in. Each of the three placements on your programme will be based in one of our directorate’s business areas (marketing, operations, OpenAthens, student services or data analytics) and cover the following types of work: 

 

  • Product (our product areas cover data analytics, student services, and trust, identity and access) 
  • Marketing (central/business-wide and product specific) 
  • Operations (project, systems and data work to support our product spaces and the wider business) 

 

Key Skills and Experience:

  • You will be analysing and problem-solving 
  • The opportunity to use your communication and presentation skills 
  • Working as part of a team 
  • Utilising your organisation/time management skills
  • Being adaptable to the different working environments
  • You will show off your digital literacy 
  • A chance to show initiative and build confidence 

 

If you have had the chance to work on a project or have work experience relating to business, marketing technology or data that would be advantageous. More important, if your graduate qualification relates to any of the fore-mentioned areas it will hold you in good stead.

The recruitment process involves the below:

  • We receive your application and review it in line with our requirements for the role
  • You will be notified via email if you have been either shortlisted or not eligible for the next stage
  • A member of the Jisc Talent Acquisition team will be in touch to arrange an initial chat with you if shortlisted
  • You will then be asked to record a short video responding to a choice of scenarios allowing us to get to know you better
  • Thereafter you will be invited to an online interview with one of our line managers and a member of the Talent acquisition team, or you will be contacted to advise you have not been selected
  • We are hoping to complete all interviews by the end of April 2025 and will be in touch to present any offers of employment following your interview.
