E-Commerce Trade Manager

It's a busy and exciting time for the brand and we’re on the hunt for a Ecommerce Trade & Category Manager to join our growing Ecommerce team.
The Role
Drives category performance, sales growth, and operational efficiency across the e-commerce platform. This role blends strategic oversight of product categories with tactical execution of trade plans, promotions, and sales forecasting. A key focus is working closely with the distribution centre (DC) to anticipate and manage the impact of fulfilment processes on stock, sales, and customer experience. You will own category-level strategies, drive results through data-driven decisions, and collaborate across multiple teams to deliver profitable growth.
- Lead sales planning and forecasting to meet revenue and margin goals, ensuring stock and promotional strategies align with business targets.
- Act as the e-commerce expert, identifying product risks and opportunities to drive the channel's success.
- Drive category-specific sales by managing detailed weekly and monthly reporting to maximize sales and profits across online channels.
- Collaborate with the Customer Team to optimise website traffic, conversion rates, and trade performance through strategic marketing.
- Develop and execute promotional strategies to enhance profitability, overseeing the setup by Junior Trade Manager and Trade Coordinator.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Buying, Merchandising, Distribution, and Logistics) to achieve e-commerce goals.
- Safeguard KPIs, such as return rates and average selling price, while supporting initiatives that impact e-commerce sales.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performing culture focused on maximising online performance.
About You
- Ability to plan, prioritise and delivery under pressure
- Commercial acumen with a strong problem-solving approach
- Flexible, resilient and open to change
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, able to conduct regular business reviews to identify opportunities and risks.
- Practical experience in trading and category management.
- A proven record of achieving performance KPIs.
- Ability to coach and develop team members to maximise success.
- Promotes a positive team spirit and embodying the NL brand values.
- Comfortable deputising for the Senior Manager when required.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in online trade management
- Proven track record of working in a fast paced sales driven / trading environment
