THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure and pipelines.
You will work closely with data scientists, business stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and secure.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large datasets.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and systems.
- Follow best practices, coding standards, and data engineering principles within the team.
- Ensure data security and privacy through the implementation of appropriate access controls and data encryption.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data engineering and big data technologies.

- Work with data scientists to ensure that their models can be effectively integrated into production environments.
- Preparing data for predictive and prescriptive modelling.
- Identifying ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Use data to discover tasks that can be automated.
- Work in short development cycles and with high deployment frequency to incrementally deliver data products, from data ingestion and transformation to dashboards, reports, and BI and ML pipelines.
- Play a key role in technical design and ongoing development of templates, reference code examples, and code libraries for data products ETLs, and analytics and machine learning pipelines.
- Build and maintain highly validated data-marts with ensured clarity and correctness of key business metrics for BI reporting purposes.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong experience in data pipeline development and management.
- Excellent knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Proficient in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with big data processing framework such as PySpark
- Experience with a cloud-based platform for big data processing and machine learning such as Databricks
