Summary
NG Bailey are currently recruiting a General Maintenance Operative to carry out routine maintenance and repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move into an “improver” role with the opportunity to progress to a technician position.
In this role you will be working on a key iconic building in the Liverpool street area undertaking general and semi-skilled duties with the opportunity to assist on more major work.
This site has excellent transport links with Liverpool street station, Shoreditch High Street and Moorgate station all close by.
Some key deliverables in this role will include:
You will undertake General and semi-skilled duties including, but not limited to: Minor Building Fabric Repairs, Decorating Tasks, Plumbing Repairs and basic Electrical Repairs. In addition providing Planned Maintenance on Emergency Lighting and the changing of lamps and minor repairs.
You will also:
- Deliver PPM Fabric Inspections/ identifying remedial works,
- To ensure that all applicable site documentation is kept up to date this will be regularly audited either by internal or external parties.
- Be proactive in the approach to fabric maintenance, identify areas for improvement and enhance the overall service delivery
- Assist with supervision of sub-contractor works ensuring compliance and adherence to applicable H&S standards when required.
What we’re looking for:
An experienced General Maintenance Operative working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive
- Previous experience of providing general small repairs
- Minor building fabric repairs, walls, skirting boards, doors.
- Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks if required (fire alarm tests, water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, etc.)
- Minor plumbing repairs including drain blockages
