Commercial Manager (Contract Management) 

Location: Remote / Hybrid 

Contract: Permanent, Full Time  

£salary + Car/Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits  

 

NG Bailey IT Services have an opportunity for an experienced Commercial professional to work in an interesting, fast paced and diverse environment, undertaking essential commercial activities to support our defence and services business, and public and private sector clients.  This role is within the ITS Commercial Team, which supports all pre and post contractual activities from bid stage through to contract award and contract exit. This includes reviewing tenders, public sector frameworks, drafting and negotiation of prime, subcontractor and partner supplier agreements, supporting financial and performance management modelling in accordance with our commercial procedures, strict governance and principles of contracting.   

The role will also support the Senior Commercial Manager with MI reporting, attendance at various monthly performance review meetings with Senior Key Stakeholders, client performance meetings and Commercial Strategy meetings. 

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:  

  • Draft bespoke agreements e.g., Call Off Contracts for service provision to clients.
  • Negotiation and creation of partner supplier flow-down terms, interaction with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Review client contractual documentation in support of tendering activities e.g., Framework Terms, Call Off Terms
  • Review partner supplier terms e.g., Reseller Terms, end user licence agreements.
  • On contract award focus on the negotiation of the final contract agreement with clients and Supply Chain.
  • Support, draft and review variations via contractual change control process.
  • Collaboration with the work winning team to review tenders, proposals and advise on contractual obligations, commercial caveats, risk and risk mitigation; financial modelling and performance metrics methodology.
  • Throughout tender stage to contract award, ensuring strict commercial governance process is followed, collate and complete commercial governance documentation and present to internal senior stakeholders, draft & negotiate final contracts and sub-contracts in accordance with mandated Group Legal and commercial principles.
  • Lead in the contract handover into operational and project delivery
  • Continuous collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of commercial objectives and contract delivery.
  • Build a network and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Continually promote good commercial practice, awareness and adherence to internal governance process and procedure and undertake presentations and training in this respect.  

What we’re looking for:  

The successful candidate will be an experienced commercial professional, and a high performer, who is seeking to build on their existing skill set and are able to demonstrate the following: 

  • Deliver innovative solutions, confident decision makers;
  • Strong negotiation, contract management and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of contractual frameworks and partner supplier agreements
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of relevant industry standards, law and regulations
  • Management of competing priorities, able to adopt a flexible approach 

Desirable: 

  • Commercial experience within any of the following industries: defence, construction, telecommunications, network & cabling infrastructure and security.
  • Managed Services contracts, Government & Defence procurement frameworks, Partner Supplier agreements; Reseller and Software Licence agreements.
