Location: South East (Excluding Central London)
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000
Company Vehicle: Van and fuel card Provided
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
About the Role:
Are you a skilled and motivated engineer looking to take your career on the road? We’re seeking a Multi-skilled Mobile Service Engineer to join our team, maintaining and repairing building services across multiple sites across Cambridge, Garden City, Milton Keys and Watford. This role will have a normal fixed day rota with the occasional change depending on reactive work. With the use of a company van, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems operate at their best, delivering excellent service to our clients.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in HVAC or building maintenance, who thrives on solving problems, working independently, and delivering quality results.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems in line with current standards and contract specifications.
- Water Systems: Maintain and monitor domestic hot and cold-water systems, ensuring L8 compliance.
- Call-Outs: Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and call-outs, providing timely solutions.
- Reporting: Submit accurate and concise reports of work completed and time spent via a tablet device.
- Record Keeping: Maintain site logbooks and records for your assigned locations.
- Collaboration: Liaise with specialist subcontractors and provide details for recommended works to support office personnel.
- Support Tasks: Assist with additional tasks, such as FCU maintenance, electrical distribution servicing, and emergency light testing.
- Out-of-Hours Cover: Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience in engineering or maintenance, preferably in a mobile role.
- Qualifications: An engineering apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
- Additional Skills:
- HVAC experience with electrical and mechanical qualifications.
- Strong fault-finding and system knowledge.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Computer literacy for using handheld devices and company systems.
