NG Bailey Facilities Services are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in building services maintenance to join our team at Devonport Dockyard. Preferably they will be mechanically biased.
The Engineer will be responsible for undertaking reactive & planned maintenance works to HVAC plant & associated equipment across a diverse building portfolio within an industrial setting, ensuring compliance to current industry standards & legislation. This includes maintenance and repair of a range of mechanical and electrical plant & associated equipment.
Core hours are Monday to Friday, 40 Hours per week with a call-out rota offering occasional overtime.
Successful candidates will be flexible, have a Can-Do attitude, professional and able to work as part of a TEAM and at times on their own initiative.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide complete fault finding, repair & installation of a range of mechanical and electrical plant & equipment.
- Responsible for diagnosing and rectifying M&E plant faults, ensuring all statutory requirements are maintained.
- Effective servicing, fault diagnosis & repair work of HVAC equipment to current standards.
- Electrical testing & completion of required NICEIC certification.
- Submitting clear, concise & accurate reports of work carried out & time spent on tasks.
- Details for further recommended works submitted with all required information for office personnel to action.
- Provide “out of hours” call out cover on occassion.
Requirements
You will have:
- Ideally all candidates should have undertaken an ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL or BUILDING SERVICES apprenticeship
- Level 3 Equivalent from a Mechanical Discipline.
- BMS experience and Multi-skilling capability and or HVAC certificates, equivalent qualifications preferred.
- Service, repair, installation of HVAC equipment
- Small mechanical installation works (pumps, valves, taps, etc…)
- M&E Fault-finding
- Control panels – PPMs and actuators
- BMS – Trend, Honeywell, Siemens, etc. – controlling hot & colds, re-sets on boilers, fault-finding, checking plant is operational
- Pumps, AHUs, FCUs, filters, belts, pulleys
