Site Supervisor/ Manager (Enabling Works & Vegetation)

Site Based – Sizewell C, Suffolk

Full Time, Up to 50 hours p/w

Summary

 

Freedom is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Environmental Consultant to Freedom is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our Environmental Land Management team, working on a major infrastructure project at Sizewell C in Suffolk. This role will involve delivering environmentally sensitive de-vegetation, arborist, and ecology mitigation solutions for our client.

 

We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual who can uphold our core values and work independently or as part of a team. This is a demanding but rewarding role, requiring work in various terrains and weather conditions.

 

Some of the Key Deliverables

This role is site-based five days per week in Leiston, Suffolk. Accommodation and subsistence will be provided if required. Other duties include:

  • Lead and oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements and safety regulations.
  • Set up and manage sites, ensuring all work is carried out according to drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct subcontractor compliance audits and manage direct workforce, agency operatives, and subcontractors.
  • Attend pre-start meetings, progress reviews, and client meetings, assisting in preparing reports and programme updates.
  • Ensure all Method Statements and Risk Assessments are completed, reviewed, briefed, and approved.
  • Conduct regular Toolbox Talks and maintain high safety and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate material and plant requisitions, ensuring site equipment meets regulations.
  • Manage labour requirements, liaising with management to adjust workforce levels as needed.
  • Monitor and control site costs, ensuring project efficiency.
  • Provide advice and support on work methods and pricing.

 

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly capable Site Supervisor/Manager with a strong background in construction and civils, ideally within environmental land management. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • CSCS card.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant site experience.
  • IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
  • Willingness to work away from home as required.

 

Desirable:

  • Temporary Works Supervisor certification.
  • Lantra 4x4 training.
  • EUSR Level 2 Cat and Genny certification.
  • CPCS Lift Supervisor or Appointed Person qualification.
  • NEBOSH certification.
