Resident Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Southampton

Permanent Contract

Up to £35,000 per annum, plus overtime and on call rota payments

 

Summary

 

We are currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our contract, supporting Southampton FC at St Mary's Stadium and the Staplewood Football Development & Support Centre.

We’re looking for a passionate engineer, who is customer focussed, flexible, and reliable, to provide an exceptional high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment, and with the utmost regard for customer service.  

 

The position is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime available on match days, and call out rota every 5 weeks.  There will be travel required between these sites, therefore a driving licence is essential, and a pool car will be available for travel between sites.

 

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

 

  • Deliver PPM relating primarily to electrical building services plant and system’s in-line with agreed programmes / SLA's in order to meet client and statutory compliance.
  • Costing and completing reactive works identified through PPM work undertaken when requested.
  • To maintain premises to an exceptionally high standard
  • To ensure that all applicable site documentation is kept up to date as this will be regularly audited either by internal or external parties.
  • Assist with supervision of sub-contractor works ensuring compliance and adherence to applicable H&S standards when required
  • Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant and install new plant and equipment when required
  • Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings ensuring all small works opportunities are identified and followed up
  • Identify equipment that needs to be replaced and advise Supervisor of parts required for works.

 

What we’re looking for:

 

Essential requirements:

 

  • Practical experience carrying out PPM's and undertaking routine electrical repairs and maintenance in line with SFG20 or equivalent with basic fault finding diagnostic experience.
  • City and Guilds 236 Parts 1&2 or equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • Capable of working on their own as well as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills – very client facing
  • Minimum of 2 years working as an Electrician

 

Desirable Experience:

 

  • Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship  
  • City and Guilds 2391
  • IOSH Working / Managing Safely
  • Safe system of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS etc
  • L8 Training
  • IPAF and PASMA
