As an NG Bailey apprentice you will:
- Train at one of the top performing colleges or training providers in the country.
- Learn about our award-winning approach to working safely.
- Work at our offices and visit construction sites.
- Be prepared for early starts and travel away from home when necessary.
- Develop great working relationships with some of the industry’s most talented people.
- Have a strong support network giving you the chance to build your confidence and use your initiative.
You will learn to:
- Work in a small specialist team undertaking design work for large and small
engineering projects.
- Work for the team lead in your area, producing calculations, drawings and technical reports, and partake in site surveys and assessments.
- Conduct research into new engineering techniques and practices.
- Attend internal and client meetings and undertake site and factory visits as necessary.
- Support the design lead and project teams in all aspects of design work.
- Undertake the technical review process and identify potential issues and solutions.
- Understand the cost of projects and support in managing the design costs.
- Understand building regulations and legislation to ensure the design of a project meets legal compliance.
We are looking for people who:

You will attend a leading Training Provider or College and complete the Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician apprenticeship and regularly attend in house training and development as part of the programme.
To apply you need:
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, Science and 2 other subjects.
