As an estimator for NG Bailey, you will do all the above. A typical day will be diverse, challenging and very rewarding. We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic people to join our experienced Engineering Team where you can learn from the industry’s best.
As an NG Bailey apprentice you will:
- Train at one of the top performing colleges or training providers in the country.
- Learn about our award-winning approach to working safely.
- Work in our offices and visit construction sites.
- Be prepared for early starts and travel away from home when necessary.
- Develop great working relationships with some of the industry’s most talented people.
- Have a strong support network giving you the chance to build your confidence and use your initiative.
You will learn to:
- Work with senior members of the team pricing new opportunities
- Work closely with and build working relationships with a range of engineers in the business
- Build key relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain knowledge of the market
- Help identify technical solutions and cost advantages against our competitors
- Prepare and send out subcontractor enquiries
- Identify new opportunities for modules that can be built in our off-site factory, ensuring our customers receive a quality product
We are looking for people who:

You will attend college to complete the Level 3 Construction Support Technician apprenticeship. In addition, you will regularly attend in house training and development as part of the programme.
To apply you need:
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English Language, Maths, Science, plus 2 other subjects at grade C/4 or above.
Please note, to be eligible for an apprenticeship you:
- Must be able to complete the apprenticeship within the required time, including the End-Point Assessment.
- Must have a valid and eligible residency status and the right to work in England.
- Must be ordinarily resident in the UK or its territories for at least 3 years before starting the apprenticeship.
