Summary

 

NG Bailey Facilities Services are currently recruiting for a Electrical Shift Technician to join our Defence contract based in Cyprus.

As based in Cyprus full time, you will be offered a package in line with our standard T&C's plus a generous Overseas Allowance to support with accommodation etc whilst in the country.

SC Security Clearance is a condition of employment. If not held before, this will be obtained with the support of NG Bailey.

 

You will be working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off 6 on 6 off continental shift pattern – 4 Days on, 4 off, 3 Days, 3 Nights, 6 off, 4 Nights on, 4 off, 3 Days 3 Nights – 6 off Repeat

 

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: 

 

  • A key success factor in the Shift Technicians role is communication, particularly in reporting plant problems/failures that may impact on the client’s business. It is essential that the details of all plant problems/failures are communicated to Shift Leader immediately.
  • Ensure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time, and all problems found are recorded and communicated to the Shift Leader / Site Supervisor 
  • To carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
  • Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
  • To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with all aspects of the PPM and plant.
  • To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with electrical systems, heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipe work and associated mechanical systems or as directed.
  • To co-ordinate, permit and monitor visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with mechanical aspects of the PPM schedules.
  • To respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies.
  • Assist other trades as necessary.
  • To provide detailed job reports for all tasks carried out.

 

What we’re looking for:

A Electrical Technician working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service this is a role for you.

 

You will hold current qualifications to work as a Electrical Technician including;

  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 (Electrical Discipline)
  • Critical Environment experience would be ideal but not essential
  • Experienced in the electrical or mechanical aspects of general building Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Competent working knowledge of Air Handling Unit’s, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment and Emergency Generators
  • Fire Alarm experience would be beneficial
  • Authorised Person Experience
  • Legionella Awareness
