Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative
Mobile role covering South Essex to south of the river Thames (Office in Stowmarket, IP14 5AH, commercial vehicle provided)
Permanent – Full Time (37.5 hours per week with Overtime available)
Freedom's Networks team have a vacancy for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join an established team maintaining the grounds on electricity substations.
This is full time mobile position where a majority of your time will be spent travelling between sites, applicants must possess a valid UK driving license for this position. You will also be required to complete a basic DBS check, Fit to work Certificate and require certification to attend our clients sites (complete during first few months in the role).
In this role you will maintain the grounds around substations through:
- Regular weeding
- Application of Herbicides & other Pesticides as required
- Trimming of hedges using hedge cutters
- Maintain grass areas using strimmers
- Remove invasive vegetation and any fly tipped waste
What we’re looking for:
- A Full UK Driving License is required, (this is a mobile role where a majority of your time will be spent travelling between sites).
- Additional training in First Aid & Manual Handling would be advantageous
- Previous experience in Grounds Maintenance and certifications for pesticides, and grounds equipment would be beneficial.
