Product Copywriter
At Seasalt we live and breathe our product and are proud of the exceptional quality and level of care we take in design and sourcing, to deliver beautiful garments which are loved by our customers. Based on the Cornish coast, we're a multi-channel lifestyle brand with over 70 shops across the UK & Ireland, over 400 wholesale stockists and a growing online business.
At Seasalt, we take pride in our passion to inspire our customers with our products. Our Product Copywriter will be responsible for writing persuasive, benefit-focused product copy that is SEO friendly and optimised for the relevant platform, context and market.
This is a full-time, permanent role. In our approach to hybrid working, we expect our people to work a minimum of 40% of their week from a Seasalt Office in Cornwall, the remaining 60% of the time will be from home (or your chosen location – however, you must be based in the UK).
You’ll help us by:
Crafting persuasive, benefit-led product copy that connects with our customers, combining key product facts with empathy and insight to answer what they really want to know. You’ll write engaging, accurate product descriptions for both our website and third-party retailers, ensuring all content is tailored and optimised for each platform and market.
You’ll also take ownership of key wholesale presentation assets, writing and proofreading the seasonal lookbook and factsheet to support our sales and marketing activity. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to naming seasonal products and support the Copy team in bringing our collections to life through creative and consistent storytelling.
Collaboration will be central to your role. You’ll work closely with our Product and Design teams to understand the inspiration behind each collection, as well as the unique features, benefits, and technical details of our products. You’ll partner with the Compliance team to ensure all sustainability messaging is accurate, meets relevant guidelines, and reflects our values. Working alongside the Digital team, you’ll help make sure our product descriptions are SEO-friendly and keyword optimised. You'll also assist in creating wholesale scripts and brand partnership collateral that strengthen our messaging across channels.
Beyond product copy, you’ll support the writing, proofreading and fact-checking of a wide range of marketing content—from catalogues, website, email campaigns and blogs, to point-of-sale, social media and internal communications. You’ll also lend your skills to ad hoc creative copywriting projects as needed.
Being immersed in our tone of voice will be essential, helping to ensure that all copy aligns with Seasalt’s values, personality, and brand positioning. You'll stay tuned into popular culture and industry trends to keep your copy fresh and relevant, while maintaining a strong understanding of our customers and competitors to help differentiate our brand in a crowded market. Above all, you’ll approach your work with a mindset of continuous improvement, drawing on insights and reflections to shape and evolve your writing over time.
The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in product copywriting., ideally within the fashion/clothing or a relevant sector.
- An understanding of SEO and best practice for search optimisation.
- Creative thinker who brings new ideas.
