Your primary responsibility will be to provide a professional support to the EPOS Team.
Working closely with the Garden Centre Manager to help the business to succeed.
Rota: Every Monday and Wednesday 08:30-13:00, Fridays 08:30-12:30 with alternate Saturdays 08:30-12:30
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Co-ordinates the cyclical stock counting procedures, investigate issues and variances, liaising with the shop floor departments and Goods-In department as necessary.
- Ensure stock adjustments and stock transfers are processed accurately and in a timely manner to maintain stock file accuracy.
- Ensures all relevant reports associated with stock accuracy are reviewed, investigated, and actioned in-line with company policy.
- To process and action company price changes and price checks in an accurate and timely manner ensuring all documentation is completed and filed.
- Operates clear lines of communication to ensure that all Garden Centre specific information and best working practice is effectively communicated.
- Ensures all company security procedures are adhered to in order that both internal and external losses are minimised.
- Ensures a safe working environment is maintained to enable both company and legislative health and safety requirements to be met.
- To be involved in other business-related activities/projects as required.
- Complete daily, Weekly and Monthly cashiering where required.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for people:
- Have excellent Excel skills
- Proven experience of working in similar role within a retail environment is essential
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Organised, self-disciplined with a positive, collaborative attitude

- Employee Discount – 50% in Restaurants and 20% in Garden Centre on joining, increasing to 25% after 2 years’ service and 30% after 5 years’ service.
- Holiday (including bank holidays) – 5.6 weeks on joining increasing to 6.2 week after 2 years’ service and 6.6 weeks after 5 years’ service.

- RHS Membership or a Tree / Shrub – After 1 years service Squire's employees can choose either one tree or shrub to plant each year up to the value of £50 retail on the anniversary of your engagement or £50 towards RHS annual membership.
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – After 2 years service employees are eligible to join an EAP, that gives them access to a range of wellbeing resources, etc.
- Retirement – After 15 years service if you are retiring and have over 15 years service, your contracted hours will be reduced by a fifth but your pay will remain the same for your final 3 months.
- Free Parking – Available to all employees in the designated parking areas on our site.
