Finance Support Administrator (Billing)

Department: Accounts Receivable

Location: Sheffield (Hybrid, 3 days in the office, 2 days from home)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 6 Months

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000


Role Overview:
The Finance Support Administrator (Billing) plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing across all Tes subsidiaries.
This role involves correcting billing errors, managing customer queries, handling email inboxes and ticketing systems, and supporting process improvements.
Additionally, the role contributes to future acquisitions and migrations of new companies.
Ideal candidates will have some experience with finance processes, including VAT rules.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all billing runs across Tes and Tes Institute.
  • Resolve internal and external queries related to billing.
  • Handle calls with internal stakeholders and external customers regarding billing and purchase order queries.
  • Assist in migration and project work.
  • Manage Freshdesk tickets and email inboxes.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support billing and accounts receivable.
  • Upload and maintain purchase orders for pathway tutors.
  • Reconcile funding streams.
  • Investigate and process customer billing credits against queries, discrepancies, and changes in circumstances.
  • Raise ad hoc invoices and credits as required.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

Experience:

  • Prior experience working within a finance department.
  • Experience in billings and raising purchase orders.
  • Exposure to the education sector is desirable.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment handling high volumes of queries.
  • Previous experience with both inbound and outbound telephone calls.
  • General knowledge of accounting practices.

Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of integrated accounting packages.
  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Exposure to the education sector is an advantage.
