Manager, Client Payroll Operations
About the Role
The Payroll Operations Manager will be responsible for the efficient delivery of Magnit’s MSP payroll processes. Located onsite in Vadodara, the Payroll Operations Manager will be dedicated to supporting local and global payroll processes.
What You Will Do
• Supervising a team of 5-7 and directing in best practices and issue resolution.
• Be a subject matter expert in the day-to-day functions and payroll best practices.
• Supervise and coordinate with Sr Leadership tied to the day-to day functions of the CPO analyst team by providing guidance and support to ensure accurate payroll processing and ensuring that CPO Staff and CS representatives utilize appropriate processing procedures and follow compliance regulations.
• Leveraging your subject matter expertise and providing a first level of CPO Team support in payroll related items and Magnit best practices.
• Provide guidance and training to the CPO Team on best practices for updating records as requested by clients, employees, or client services.
• Ad hoc reporting as needed using Ceridian and MicroStrategy.
• Overseeing and auditing data entry into payroll and VMS systems – training staff needed.
• Assist with and lead special projects along with the collection of user requirements for system enhancements and solutions.
• Manage and provide on-going research, resolution and product support to the CPO Team.
• Provide mentorship and support to the team by leveraging experience and available Magnit resources.
• Work with Sr. Management to create and manage CPO new hire department training and schedules.
• Work with Sr. Management to continually evaluate processes and procedural documents for increased efficiencies and opportunities for improvement
What You Will Need
• 10 plus years of work experience in a payroll supervisory/management role with exceptional Customer Service Skills.
• Cross-functional collaboration and building partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Experience mapping processes and driving initiatives.
• Knowledge of file feeds, third party integrations, mapping payroll systems
• Experienced with payroll processing and processing systems, preferably large- scale ERP.
• Ability to proactively troubleshoot and critically think to resolve customer complaints using creative and pre-defined solutions.
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and follow up in a timely manner.
• Payroll Org Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll
• Professional (CPP) designations preferred.
