About the Role
- This position will be based out of the Indian Office. The Senior Accountant will be hands-on and will be responsible for providing management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, reviewing fluctuations, and monitoring financial transactions and changes to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to respond to questions and special requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
- It is essential that the Senior Accountant be accountable, detail oriented, and adaptable to ensure deadlines are met timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
What You Will Do
- Trouble shoot as we transition acquisitions from legacy financial systems on to the Magnit financial systems, with a key focus on maintaining clear bank reconciliations for the EMEA entities
- Lead the monthly close process by preparing adjusting journal entries, performing detailed account analysis, and providing deliverables to senior management.
- Ensure integrity of financial transaction data by analyzing and reconciling results from reporting system to general ledger.
- Cleanse and manipulate data for entry into ERP system including data summarization and validation.
- Prepare complex analyses and comprehensive explanations of transactions including documentation for external auditors.
- Supervise and develop junior team members by knowledge sharing and demonstrating leadership.
- Lead ad-hoc special projects as needed.
What You Will Need
- A recognized accounting qualification (Graduate/Post Graduate in accounting. CA Intermediate or Pursuing CA Final)
- 4+ years of experience in International Corporate Accounting. Preferably similar or service industry. In-depth knowledge of all GL’s of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Accounts)
- Good working Knowledge of Prepaids, Accruals, Bank Reconciliation, Expense flux analysis.
- Quantitative aptitudes and experience in building scalable solutions and processes to solve problems, strengthen internal controls, and increase quality.
- Must be proficient in Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands on experience of using Tally.
