Magnit is hiring several Client Services Consultants for our teams working onsite in our Bangalore, Karnataka India Office.

About the Role

The Client Services Consultant plays a pivotal role in ensuring a positive and productive experience for both clients and contractors throughout the lifecycle of contractor assignments and the requisition fulfillment process. This multifaceted position requires a strong understanding of contingent workforce principles, recruitment fundamentals, employee relations, co-employment, and VMS/HRIS systems. As a key contact representing Magnit, the consultant regularly interact with contractors, client corporate functions, third-party suppliers, and internal colleagues to guarantee seamless service delivery and successful contingent workforce outcomes.

 

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in staffing industry operations, HR/recruiting, or Master Service Provider (MSP). Success in this role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, sound judgment in addressing concerns, effective negotiation abilities, a personable and professional presence, and an analytical mindset for data analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities

Requisition and Supplier Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end requisition fulfillment process through the contingent worker Vendor Management System (VMS), including creating requisitions (when necessary) and facilitating market analyses.
  • Proactively engage with hiring managers to qualify requisitions, understand needs, and communicate relevant information to approved suppliers.
  • Select appropriate suppliers and distribute requisitions to ensure timely fulfillment, potentially hosting spotlight calls to drive results.
  • Ensure compliance across supplier partnerships by communicating program requirements and partnership expectations.
  • Facilitate the relationship and interaction between candidates, staffing desk suppliers, and hiring managers, ensuring compliance with program requirements and partnership expectations.
  • Screen candidates, review submissions, create shortlists, select suitable candidates, and negotiate offers to secure top talent.

 

Contractor and Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contractors and client managers.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions and check-ins for new hires to provide a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from clients, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring effective and consistent communication, and escalating to internal leaders as needed.
  • Partner with the Account Management team to understand client priorities and expectations.
  • Maintain quality service and day-to-day account operations, with a focus on meeting contractual deliverables outlined in the Scope of Work.

 

Contingent Workforce Expertise and Compliance

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the contingent workforce employment arena, encompassing onboarding protocols, worker classifications, employee relations, immigration and visa types, payroll processing, and end-of-assignment procedures.
  • Apply sound judgment in employee relations matters and coach client managers to ensure collaboration and risk mitigation.
  • Address performance concerns with contractors or suppliers, providing and resolving feedback as appropriate.

 

Operational Efficiency and System Management

  • Coordinate and effectively collaborate with internal team members and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop proficiency within the client Vendor Management System (VMS)/HRIS, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to payroll, billing, and employee data, while maintaining accurate and complete VMS records.
  • Monitor project spending, conduct quality calls to gather worker feedback, and ensure projects are on track and within budget (as applicable).
  • Manage projects and ad hoc reports as needed

 

Note: The scope of responsibilities may vary based on team size and may be limited to specific product lines (employer of record, staffing desk, or SOW) or span multiple product lines.

 

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of working experience in a relevant area such as staffing industry operations, HR/recruiting, or MSP is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong and proactive communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively across all layers of the organization
  • Excellent customer service, administrative, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, sense of urgency, and a “Can-Do” attitude!
