JOB SUMMARY

The essential job function is to provide analytical support for validation and technical services projects including preparation of development, method transfer, and validation documents.  Also, to provide procedural training and assisting with planning and execution of Technical Services Projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

  • Execute pharmaceutical analytical methods for potency, dissolution, impurities/degradation products, using appropriate laboratory instrumentation e.g. HPLC, Dissolution Apparatus, GC.  Exercise the ability to learn and execute new technologies.
  • Execute pharmaceutical analytical methods for physical tests, wet chemistry tests, etc.
  • Author procedures, protocols, reports, and ancillary documents in support of projects and regulatory filings.
  • Provide training and support to other analysts supporting Validation and/or Technical Transfer projects.
  • Provide testing support for validation (process and cleaning), tech transfer feasibility batches, and , as applicable, clinical supplies.
  • Take a lead in transferring methods internally (QC) and externally (other Adare sites or customer) during Technical Transfer projects.
  • Lead analytical teams, as needed; including coordinating activities designed to achieve project goals in an efficient manner.
  • Attend internal and customer project meetings.  Supply appropriate input and data prior to and during the meeting.
  • Attends work on a regular and predictable basis as set by department management.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.
  • Uphold Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code.
  • Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public.
  • Work effectively under deadlines.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of relevant pharmaceutical laboratory experience or M.S. with a minimum of 3 years of relevant pharmaceutical laboratory experience.
  • Requisite knowledge of pharmaceutical operations, including GMP, lab procedures and equipment, ANDA/NDA/DMF/IND documents, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to coordinate, contribute to and work within a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Able to prioritize duties and multiple projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess the ability to take initiative to complete assignments and job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
