Life in Lufkin: Located northeast of Houston, Lufkin is just 60 miles west of the Texas-Louisiana border.
- Surrounded by vast areas of pine trees, Lufkin and has a rich history of manufacturing lumber and paper.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:
- Perform general office tasks, including filing, document management, and supply inventory.
- Support safety compliance by distributing protective gear and maintaining safety records.
- Enter and verify data in ERP systems, track inventory, and resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Process invoices, manage P-Card purchases, and approve facility expenses.
- Prepare and track environmental reports, utility consumption, and raw material inventory.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Assist with associate tasks, including scheduling new hire physicals, managing security access, and supporting associate requests.
What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience with the ability to provide timely support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (spreadsheet creation, pivot tables, data analysis), Word (document creation/editing), and Outlook (email/calendar management).
- Self-awareness and the ability to understand how personal behavior impacts team dynamics and workplace culture.
- Clear understanding of integrated financial systems and internal controls.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, organization, and documentation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proactive mindset with problem-solving skills and a commitment to process improvement.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of operational workflows.
- Background in inventory management and accounts payable systems.
- Experience using ERP systems, with SAP and M3 preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, apply economic reasoning, and drive efficiency improvements.
