We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Lead Prospector / Lead Converter to join our team focusing on the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. The primary responsibility of this role is to follow up with leads generated through marketing campaigns, qualify them, and seamlessly hand them over to our sales team for further development.
This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as it involves extensive email correspondence and phone calls to engage with potential clients. In this role you will report into the Head of Sales for the EMEA region and assist in driving new business sales.
Working alongside one of the BCA’s sales team, here is what a typical day could look like:
- Lead Qualification: Follow up with leads generated from various marketing sources (emails, campaigns, webinars, social media, etc.) to determine their level of interest and qualify them as potential sales opportunities.
- Prospect for new business within your assigned territory and/or client segment leveraging multiple forms of communications (Bloomberg messenger, calls, emails)
- Engagement: Engage with leads via email and phone calls to build rapport, provide relevant information about our services, and identify their needs and potential fit with our offerings.
- Data Management: Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate and timely information on lead interactions, status, and next steps.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to hand over qualified leads for further development and nurturing, ensuring a smooth transition and effective follow-up.
- Source attendees for strategist roadshows and lunch/breakfast events.
- Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns.
- Help map out prospective clients and new users/teams within existing clients.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics in the EMEA region to effectively engage with leads and provide valuable information.
- Performance Tracking: Track and report on lead conversion rates, engagement activities, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal teams (marketing, sales, sales ops) to enhance business development process.
Experience & competencies for success:
- Previous experience in a lead generation, prospecting, or customer service role, preferably within the financial services sector.
- A good understanding and interest in global macro-economics, strategy, and investment management.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in both written and verbal English; additional languages relevant to the EMEA region are a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkIN and other lead management tools.
- High level of motivation and a proactive approach to engage and convert leads.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry and an understanding of its products, services, and target audience in the EMEA region.
