Research Associate

Montreal, Quebec, Canada (Hybrid)

In this role you will report to a Senior Vice President (Research and Information Operations) and will assist in the production of quality research reports.

  • Your responsibilities will include producing visually appealing charts and comprehensive research reports.
  • You will also be involved in handling client requests and generating insightful charts using our proprietary tool APL, or Bloomberg and Excel.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with diverse financial and economic data, honing your data-searching techniques.
  • You will contribute to the production process for various BCA products by creating charts and tables.
  • All this will be accomplished in a fast-paced, deadline-drive atmosphere, providing you with ample opportunities for growth and development.

To excel in this role, we require the following qualifications.

  • An undergraduate degree in commerce, finance, or economics
  • Ideally 1 to 2 years of experience in a research role
  • Experience in the financial services industry, preferably within an investment institution
  • Knowledge of statistical packages and exposure to financial applications and time series databases would be advantageous.
  • Professional fluency in both written and spoken English, as you will collaborate with colleagues in the US and globally.
