Communications & Media Relations, Sr. Manager

As a global role, fluency in written & spoken English is a requirement of this role.

 

The Role

The role’s primary focus is to develop and execute outreach strategies to enhance BCA’s reputation and brand. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Communications & Media Relations, Sr. Manager is responsible for media relations, content creation, and managing global PR efforts through agencies.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Oversee day to day responsibilities of all media relations efforts.
  • Work with marketing team to create PR programs in support of strategic objectives to realize a variety of special projects and custom communication and presentations.
  • Write press releases
  • Manage and respond to inbound media request
  • Conduct outbound media pitching to global media – print and broadcast
  • Manage social media to amplify media presence and news
  • Manage global agency(ies) who support our brands with media relations across Americas, EMEA and APAC
  • Proactively seek out industry conferences/awards opportunities and manage submissions
  • Understand how media and our customers perceive our value; enhance how media and customers perceive the value of our products and/or recommendation
  • Create a variety of communications tools, including but not limited to, presentations, news releases, pitches and partnership decks.
  • Support BCA Research product launches and executive visibility

  • Number of unique pieces of press (establishing targets and measurement vs goal)
  • Expanding number of media relationships on subscription (establishing targets and measurement vs goal)

  • Number of outside speaking opportunities
  • Number of awards received and industry rankings

 Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience :

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A) in communications, Public Relations or Marketing. Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in B2B
  • Experience in Financial Industry will be considered an asset
  • Impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong media relations skills with established industry contacts.
