Purpose of the Job
We're seeking a detail-oriented GSS Creative Workflow/Studio Manager to optimize our in-house creative studio operations, managing project workflows, ensuring quality, and acting as the central coordinator between creative teams, account managers, and the Head of Brand Creative; this global role requires independent initiative, collaboration with regional teams, and experience working with marketing executives, all while maintaining a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Studio Operations Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the creative studio, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. - Workflow and Process Optimization:
Develop, implement, and refine workflow processes to improve efficiency and productivity within the studio. Continuously monitor project progress and identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
- Project Management:
Manage the lifecycle of creative and pipeline projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all teams have the resources and tools necessary to deliver client briefs. Assign tasks, monitor deadlines, and keep project timelines up to date. - Team Coordination:
Serve as the liaison between the Head of Brand Creative, Global SE team members, Global Marketing, GSS Senior Designers, and GSS Presentations Specialists. Ensure seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams and maintain clear communication channels.
- Resource Allocation:
Working with the Head of Brand Creative to oversee and manage resource planning for the creative team, balancing workloads and assigning tasks based on skill sets and availability. - Client Liaison:
Working closely with the Head of Brand Creative, Global SE team, and Marketing Director/Manager to understand project requirements, timelines, and objectives. Ensure client feedback is communicated clearly to the creative team and incorporated into the project deliverables.
- Quality Control:
Ensure that all creative output adheres to brand guidelines, project specifications, and industry best practices. Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards across all deliverables. - Creative Asset Management:
Manage and maintain the organisation of digital assets, ensuring that files are properly archived and accessible for future use. Implement systems to track revisions and versions of creative work.
- Reporting and Analytics:
Track key performance metrics related to studio output and project delivery. Provide regular status updates and post-project analysis reports to leadership and stakeholders. - Feedback and Collaboration:
Provide feedback and creative direction and support for junior designers to ensure brand compliance, effectiveness overall work quality. Provide a feedback framework for them to grow and develop. - Daily collaboration with the creative and presentation team, along with responsibility for training and developing their skill set and aiding in their path to more design-focused work.
- Brand Adherence:
Maintain brand consistency throughout all our pipeline + marketing projects - Technology and Tools:
Manage the software and tools used by the creative team, including design software, project management systems, and collaborative platforms. Ensure the team is trained and comfortable using these tools. Be across design trends to make sure the most relevant ones are being used.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients/teams and consistently strive to exceed their expectations.
- Develop and continue a good understanding of client brands.
- Manage client expectations and build a reputation for creativity.
- Support other team members in the pursuit of delivering the highest standard of service to internal clients.
- Challenge current ways of working/processes to work more efficiently and effectively.
- Challenge creative briefs + timings where necessary to make sure work is delivered on time and to the brief.
- Attend and be punctual to all relevant meetings with internal clients and colleagues.
- Maintain composure under pressure.
- Take full accountability for your work to ensure that deadlines are met and implementation is to a high standard.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing a creative studio, design team, or in a project management role within a creative or marketing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex creative workflows and working across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to juggle numerous tasks at once and deliver all effectively.
- Ability to coach and develop members of the team.
- Work as a strong team player.
- Good planning and organising skills.
- Display confidentiality at all times with regard to HH Global and client businesses.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Adobe Workfront) and creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma).
- Strong knowledge of digital asset management systems (DAM) and workflow automation tools.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with creative and non-creative teams effectively.
- Ability to balance creativity with process efficiency and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
