Account Manager
Purpose of the Job
The Account Manager will be responsible for strategically manage and develop client relationships. This person will oversee operations, procurement, production, and execution of the client’s strategy and projects and have direct accountability for client spend, financial and operational performance.
The role will be focused on continually driving down costs, increasing margins, and identifying new production opportunities for the client, retaining customers and nurturing key relationships, ensuring the team is delivering beyond the client’s expectation and achieving the financial results of the account, proactively seek out opportunities for organic client growth and new opportunities outside current clients. Interpret brief requirements and deliver innovative solutions to drive the business forward.
Key Responsibilities
- As a team leader the manager will be responsible on leading every effort of the team (coordinator and Specialist) to accomplish monthly sales account budget.
- Ownership of allocated accounts, working to achieve and increase given targets.
- Finding new opportunities with the client and building on those opportunities.
- Where required, work seamlessly with the creative and strategy teams to provide value added input to client meetings and discussions.
- Monitoring project budgets, within time and budget.
- Understanding the challenges faced by our clients and their markets.
- Taking client briefs and pro-actively suggesting alternative solutions to the client – adding value, up selling and cross selling where possible.
- Working to ensure that the client has confidence the project will meet or exceed their expectations.
- Confidently suggesting ways to add value and new solutions.
- Having a good understanding of the client brand guidelines.
- Solving problems and offering alternative solutions, supporting pitch proposals and delivery.
- Allowing the client to be the hero – their success is our success.
- Sourcing suppliers and building quotations.
- Ensure agency processes are followed.
- Manage expected revenue levels, devising plans to identify new revenue streams.
- To be an ambassador for the agency.
- Initial understanding of project purpose and the project objectives.
- Defining the project, building the project quotation for internal and 3rd party services.
- Communicating clearly to the client what is being delivered and the associated costs.
- Identify key milestones related to project delivery and control.
- Proactively following up on all quotations sent to the client.
- Creating the project brief and briefing relevant parties.
- Liaising with the in-house team and external vendors to build the project schedule.
- Communicating the schedule to all parties and making them aware of their actions.
- Communicating any changes to the schedule to all parties, negotiating new dates that still meet the project deadline.
- Building contingency plans.
- Ownership of the project, demonstrating leadership qualities and a positive approach.
- Holding briefing and check-point calls to keep all parties updated.
- Managing the change order process and informing the client of any cost implications before proceeding.
- Monitoring and controlling the project schedule, immediately. communicating to the client any changes or delays.
- Monitoring and maintaining the right balance of quality, time, money, and people.
- Ensuring that the project always remains in scope.
- Following up with the client with a wrap-up meeting and to encourage then to discuss future projects.
- Present final reports and results of projects internally and to clients
- Reviewing with the in-house team and suppliers to see what lessons can be learnt.
- Developing new business
- Maintaining regular and effective communication with management team.
- Proactively sharing knowledge with other team members and suggesting new ways of working.
- Always project HH Global positively within the organisation and ensure team members do the same.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- 5-7 years’ experience
- Marketing / Creative agency experience.
- Digital, Experiential & print knowledge.
- Client facing experience.
- Commercial business knowledge.
- A proven track record of building relationships with clients.
- Knowledge in digital environments (paid media, campaigns, contents, strategy) and experiential marketing (events, brand activations, digital out of home)
- Digitally savvy and a willingness to find new and exciting ways to communicate.
- A positive, proactive, outgoing personality with a genuine enjoyment of client contact and teamwork.
- Methodical and logical approach.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Client focussed with excellent client facing skills.
- Commercial business drive, determination to achieve excellence
- Ability to work under pressure and meet/exceed timelines.

- Highly proficient with MS Office 365 software, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- English proficiency
- Educated to degree standard preferably in business or marketing management
- Able to analyze and improve current job processes/protocols and anticipate/manage change in a quickly moving global business environment.
