Position Title 

Position Title: Sr Product Security Engineer

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities:

• 5+ years' of experience working in Product and Cybersecurity requirements.

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments of our products and services, including code reviews, threat modeling, and penetration testing, to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks.

• Collaborate with software development and product teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Design and implement secure coding standards and guidelines to ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements.

• Develop and maintain security-related tools and scripts to automate security testing and vulnerability scanning processes.

• Perform security incident response and analysis, investigating and resolving security incidents in a timely manner.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities, and apply this knowledge to enhance security measures and processes.

 • Conduct security training and awareness programs for development teams to foster a culture of security awareness and best practices.

• Collaborate with third-party security auditors and partners during security assessments and certifications.

• Lead the resolution of complex security issues by working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and legal teams.

• Participate in the development and improvement of our security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Assist in defining and documenting the product security strategy, roadmap, and long-term objectives.

• Contribute to security-related research and development initiatives, as well as participate in security conferences and industry forums.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• Proven experience (5+ years) in product security engineering, application security, or related roles.

• Medical Device Industry Experience is a plus.

• Strong understanding of secure software development practices and experience with secure code review techniques.

• In-depth knowledge of common application security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten) and mitigation techniques.

• Hands-on experience with security tools like static code analyzers, dynamic analysis tools, and vulnerability scanners.

• Familiarity with secure development frameworks and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Android, AOPS, BSP, Cloud etc.).

• Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Knowledge of cryptographic protocols, secure authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

 • Strong understanding of network and web application protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS).

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CEH, or OSCP are desirable.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

 • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about product security and cybersecurity.
