Maintenance Planner: The Impact You’ll Have On The Organization and World 

• You’ll help us become even better. You will develop comprehensive predictive and preventive maintenance plans; dramatically reducing unplanned downtime and boosting the reliability and efficiency of facility operations. This will create seamless operational processes, minimizing delays and enhancing the facility’s overall workflow. 

• You’ll engage in strategic collaboration. Through effective planning and coordination with suppliers and the maintenance team, you will ensure that the right talent, tools, and parts are available, leading to optimized resource allocation and increased productivity. 

• You’ll play a critical role in the success of our plant. Ensuring that all maintenance and contractor work is properly planned before execution, you will facilitate smoother operational processes, reducing delays and improving the facility's overall workflow.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:  

• Plans all maintenance work and assembles job kitting. 

• Specs jobs, orders parts and designs job plans, evaluating the time and resources needed. 

• Arranges contractors’ needs, reviewing work requests entered and prioritized.  

• Posts evaluation of jobs for job plan accuracy and performance while creating and supporting safety and environmental compliance in all plans. 

• Utilizes MP2/SAP database for planning and records and conducts monthly cycle counts for storeroom inventory.  

• Creates job plans for all contractor work with estimated completion time, needed down time, equipment affected and cost of job. 

• Enters all new equipment data into MP2/SAP and all maintenance documents are filed according to RIM. 

• Creates and maintains PM plans in the system and critical spares inventory reordering points. 

• Maintains maintenance job hazard analysis records, SOP and SMP records. 

What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities): 

Minimum Qualifications 

• High School Diploma. 

• Strong computer system skills: ability to work in SAP/M3 etc. and in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 

• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence. 

• Strong Maintenance Knowledge – How work gets done and what skills are needed to safety accomplish the tasks. 

• Strong communicator – ability interface between operations and maintenance.  

• Contract management – Ability and understanding of OSHA/other Codes to ensure compliance with contract activities for construction, excavation, Electrical work etc. 

 Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in Maintenance Planning or Scheduling in an industrial environment.
