We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Marketing Manager for Legal Benchmarking Group (LBG), a portfolio company of Delinian (formerly Euromoney).

You will have extensive experience in a B2B publishing businesses with a track record of revenue growth, assisting in the delivery of a marketing strategy across 4 streams to drive revenue beyond £10m in benchmarking and accreditation, £2m in client marketing solutions, £2m in subscriptions, and £1m in events, with a key focus on: email, social media (organic and paid), and internal display advertising.

You will be highly organised and comfortable juggling projects with an entrepreneurial, results-orientated approach to marketing and bring innovative ideas to the table. As a commercially-minded marketer, you will be responsible for measuring marketing success against annual targets, and longer term growth targets working closely with commercial, renewals and research teams and delivering insights to help shape the direction of travel. You’ll be confident interfacing with senior stakeholders and communicating marketing concepts with a commercial lens.

 

The Senior Marketing Manager (SMM) will be responsible for the strategy for IFLR comprising of IFLR1000, IFLR subscriptions, and IFLR Awards, evolving our approach to make better use of automation and improve the customer experience.

The ideal candidate must have a strong track record of driving demand, ideally from the media/publishing industry, and should be an expert in demand generation strategies and tactics including marketing automation, content, digital marketing and more. You will need to be tenacious in your approach to achieving results, testing new marketing channels and tactics to build a mix to achieve our growth targets.

You will work closely with the Head of Marketing as well as the wider marketing team and in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders. There is also the opportunity for line management responsibilities for the right candidate.

Your key objectives:

  • Execute and deliver effective marketing campaigns for all IFLR products, with a focus on digital channels such as social media, email marketing and marketing automation
  • Develop our strategy to showcase the prestige of research process and teams across the whole of LMG and disseminate this approach to the rest of the marketing team.
  • Build a close collaboration with key stakeholder groups including Sales, Product Directors, Researchers, and other Marketing Teams.
  • Serve as a thought leader on all things marketing, providing strategic direction and guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • Be a champion for our brands.

What will you do?

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality brand and campaign assets, working with in-house and external designers.
  • Marketing budget allocation, tracking, and reporting. Ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum ROI.
  • Prepare, build and schedule email campaigns utilising marketing automation, with a focus on high-quality, relevant content and effective audience targeting.
  • Analyse campaign results and ROI, utilising data-driven metrics and analytics to measure success and adjust strategies accordingly, making recommendations for optimisation, tactics, and future planning.
  • Efficiently prepare, schedule and manage organic and paid social media activity with a key focus on CTR, lead generation and CPA/ROI for Accreditation products.
  • Prepare, build and schedule the delivery of email campaigns with a focus on high-quality, relevant content and effective audience targeting.
  • Manage internal display advertising across LMG’s websites.
  • Produce high quality, customisable email templates using Pardot and Stripo to support the standardisation of marketing and to improve turnaround times and overall efficiency.
  • Support the build, maintenance and optimisation of landing pages

Experience & Competencies for Success:

  • Experience in managing subscriptions, accreditation or awards programs ideally in publishing businesses.
  • You have a proven track record of crafting marketing strategies and plans that drive MQLs that convert to generate pipeline for new business and expansion.
  • You are an expert in the B2B lead funnel, from lead MQL to SQL to opportunity to close.
  • Understanding of what drives conversion/volume of each.
  • Advanced proficiency in using marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot), CRM systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, Salesforce).
  • Confident in building successful automated nurturing campaigns to deliver leads to sales.
  • Can successfully coordinate, empower, direct multiple stakeholders, details, and timelines towards a specific goal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have an impatience to move yourself and others to action, even if there is incomplete information or other hurdles.
  • Confident analysing and pulling meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative data with the use of tools such as Excel
  • Adept at building marketing segments from larger sets of data for use in campaigns
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and agile environment. Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise according to business needs\
  • Proficient in the use of design tools (e.g. Canva and Adobe Creative Suite), experience in briefing internal creative teams
  • Looking for a role that offers autonomy and responsibility from the outset.
