Purpose of the job
We are looking for a strong candidate with experience in logistics. Our Logistics Specialist should have great orientation on road and sea market and understand door to door processes including customs clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Route cargo in accordance with legal and customer requirements
- Coordinate the routing process
- Issue resolution and shipment responsibility
- Actively use the software chosen per the client.
- Accurately issue shipping documentation such as certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, and certificates of insurance
- Reliably track and expedite the progress of specialized shipments
- Capture all costs associated with a shipment
- Actively look for capture savings opportunities and added value opportunities when possible
- Actively participate in team meetings, conference calls, and daily project management calls with the HHG team and with the client
- Communication with freight forwarders, shippers, consignees, clients, and internal communication within the team
- Transport regulations compliance management
- Eliminate or minimize risk exposure for HH Global and customers
- Maintain online tracking and metrics tools
- Provide excellent customer service to HH Global customers
- Perform HH Global core values, actively promote teamwork and represent HH Global according to company culture
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- Bachelor’s or equivalent college degree – focus on Logistics preferred
- Languages required - English
- International logistics experience preferred: transportation, customs, warehousing, supply chain principles, geographical concerns, political nuances of economic zones
- Scheduling and critical path management experience preferred
- Issue resolution experience
