We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Microsoft Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our team. A Microsoft Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a crucial role in helping customers achieve their business goals using Microsoft Cloud solutions and Bytes services capabilities.

The Technical Account Manager is a sales and technical sales overlay role that works as a specialist resource with the purpose of driving profitability for Microsoft and the business more generally. This is achieved through proactive engagement with our current customer base to help them deploy new technology, services, and workloads. Your goal is to ensure customer satisfaction, drive value realization, and foster long-term strategic relationships through the use of data-driven insights and industry trends.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

As a trusted advisor you’ll have a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from their investment in Microsoft. You’ll craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of Microsoft Technologies and Bytes services. Success in this position will be measured by the ability to drive profitability and meet growth targets within your customer base.

 

You will work with a range of organisations from startups all the way through to some of the largest companies in the country who will all be looking to you to provide guidance and input. You’ll provide advice on architecture, strategy and how Bytes can help them to build, secure and modernise.

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer

 

 

  • Develop deep and long-lasting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges

 

  • Conduct regular reviews with customers to ensure outstanding service and review their upcoming projects

 

  • Advocate for Microsoft and Bytes Services into customers and Bytes Sales Teams

 

  • Proactively look for and identify opportunities for new workloads and services into existing customers

 

 

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Work closely with key stakeholders and specialists drive our Microsoft business forwards

 

  • Actively contribute to improving existing processes related to the delivery of successful outcomes to our customers

 

 

 

  • Collaborate with other Sales Teams, Specialists and Implementation teams to ensure successful outcomes for both Bytes and our customers
  • Collaborate in the production of highly complex solution designs with responsibility for ensuring it meets the customers’ needs

 

  • Represent the company at customer events such as conferences, discussion forums, training events, webinars, and live customer-facing events

 

  • Respond to RFP’s and produce outstanding documentation to support the successful bids on a variety of projects

 

  • Track opportunities using the companies CRM and provide monthly updates on key activities and wins

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering, Science or other relevant subjects

Professional Qualifications

  • Preferably multiple Microsoft Certifications held
  • TOGAF or Similar Enterprise Architecture Certification’s

  • Minimum 5 years in an Architect, TAM, Pre-Sales or senior internal IT role

  • The candidate must have a strong and proven track record in the successful production of proposals, RFP responses and statements of work
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills. Able to articulate, write and present complex matters in a high quality, clear and concise manner appropriate to the audience. Able to influence stakeholders to mutually agreeable solutions.
  • Relationship skills. Able to own and develop effective working relationships at various levels and work collaboratively with stakeholders with minimal direction.
