As an Account Manager at Altrata, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients within the philanthropy space, specifically in Education and Not for Profit sectors. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious about the industry, thrives on building meaningful relationships, and possesses a deep understanding of how to support clients in achieving their goals. You will act as a strategic partner, ensuring that each client not only uses our suite of products effectively but also sees value in them, fostering long-term partnerships.
If you are a results-driven professional with a passion for developing lasting relationships, continuously learning about the philanthropic landscape, and bringing tailored solutions to clients, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Trusted Advisor: Act as the primary point of contact for a dedicated book of clients, developing strong, consultative relationships through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email interactions.
- Client Relationship Development: Build and nurture deep, long-term relationships by understanding clients' needs and delivering personalized solutions that support their strategic goals. Become a go-to partner, offering insights and advice on how our products can drive impact.
- Achieve Client Success & Retention: Drive retention and growth by understanding clients' challenges and proactively anticipating their future needs. Establish and execute growth strategies, ensuring clients continue to derive value from our offerings.
- Client Onboarding & Education: Conduct thorough onboarding and training sessions tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring they understand how to fully leverage our products for maximum impact.
- Client Health Monitoring: Regularly analyze client health, usage data, and satisfaction, identifying trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential areas for cross-selling or upselling.
- Business Reviews & Strategic Planning: Lead formal business reviews with clients, discussing progress, renewal probabilities, product usage, and new opportunities for growth. Act as a client advocate within Altrata, ensuring their needs are consistently addressed.
- Pipeline & Renewal Management: Effectively manage your client pipeline, overseeing the renewal and upgrade processes with a focus on delivering exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement: Share successes and learnings in monthly meetings, contributing ideas to improve internal processes and enhancing overall client engagement.
- Support Company Values: Demonstrate and encourage behaviors that align with Altrata’s vision, building a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven Experience: At least 2 years of experience in account management, ideally within the Education and Not for Profit sectors, with a strong understanding of client needs in these areas.
- Relationship-Building Expertise: Exceptional ability to build relationships, deeply understand client needs, and offer tailored solutions that drive client success. Experience in retaining and growing accounts.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on active listening and understanding client pain points.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Demonstrated success in consultative selling, with the ability to negotiate and resolve issues, always keeping the client’s best interests at the forefront.
- Self-Motivated & Collaborative: A proactive, self-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Curious & Continuous Learner: Passionate about staying up-to-date with the philanthropic landscape and motivated by the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in CRM systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, and the MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Adaptable: Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
If you are excited about the opportunity to act as a trusted advisor and build deep, meaningful relationships with clients in the philanthropy sector, we encourage you to apply and become part of our dedicated team at Altrata.
We are guided by three key values and strive to always be purposeful, dynamic, and authentic in everything we do.
How we work:
In short, we work flexibly! Altrata employees can choose to work from wherever they want (mostly). For some, that might mean splitting time between working from home and one of our global offices, and for others that could mean working fully remote. We want our team to choose the working dynamic that works best for them. We currently have team members spanning the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Hungary, India, and Malaysia.
We also start our weekends early, at lunchtime on Fridays (really!), giving everyone a jump on their weekends.
Studies have shown that women, people of color, members of the queer community, and people with disabilities are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At
Altrata, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
Interested in joining our growing global organization? At Altrata, we can promise you two things: You will be in good company and you will make an impact.
