JOB PURPOSE

 

We are looking for a new event producer to join our team. Intended to be a key long-term post with opportunities for training and professional development. The event producer will play a significant role in the planning and delivery of our portfolio of events which is expected to expand in the medium term.

Reporting to the Product Director for events and marketing services, the event producer will take ownership over a selection of conferences, webinars, roundtables and networking meetings scheduled throughout the year.

The role will involve working alongside all other teams in the business to ensure a smooth and timely delivery of all events, including marketing, sponsorship and sales, editorial and operations. Tasks will include, but not limited to, event production, independent research, event admin, creating schedules, event preparation, and onsite support.

 

This is a role for anyone looking to develop a career in content generation and event production. The position offers the opportunity to learn about all aspects of content production and is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience in the B2B  events industry.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct extensive phone and desk research to develop market-leading products that inspire audiences.
  • Secure high-profile speakers to continually improve product quality and attract new audiences.
  • Deliver product and market event briefs that identify purpose of the event, customer benefits, USPs, commercial and marketing opportunities, and market maps
  • Liaise directly with customers on their expectations and translate this through to high quality experiences.
  • Work with sales and commercial team to define topic and content opportunities
  • Work with marketing function a to define audience for each event, develop content-led marketing campaigns, and improve the quality of our data
  • Produce copy for marketing campaigns and newsletters as needed
  • Attend and deliver events primarily in London and New York City with opportunities for travel to Europe and other global destinations

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

 

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of B2B events, ideally in content production and/or content generation
  • Excellent research and analytical skills; ability to deliver high-quality agendas based on a learned understanding of the market and customer expectations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business development.
  • Experience in different corporate event formats such as conferences, roundtables, webinars, and awards
  • Able to confirm high-value speakers from leading global companies.
  • Demonstrable project management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills with an ability to navigate challenging situations, problem solving, providing great solutions to delight customers
  • Able to understand and interpret customer insight.
  • Skilled budget manager with ability to forecast accurately and meet targets.

 

 

Desired

  • Specific experience in delivering content for roundtables and/or webinars
  • Content research and development in corporate conferences
  • Experience with any online presentation platforms for live content streams
  • Video content creation
