What You Will Do
· Work with internal stakeholders to understand the requirements and business needs of the payroll process to identify and mitigate payroll risk. Recommend and carry out acceptable solutions.
- Experience and ability to navigate multiple company systems in execution of the successful payroll process.
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve Magnit/client application issues in the areas of payroll system setup, payroll functionality, and general payroll client inquiries. Experience and ability to navigate multiple company systems in the execution of the successful payroll process.
- Work with and mentor Client Payroll Operations Analysts who are responsible for daily payroll processing and ensuring every client interaction is a best-in-class experience.
- Work with Supervisors, Directors, and cross-functional teams as applicable, advising client services teams, escalating critical issues in a timely manner, and driving corrective actions to mitigate issues.
- Assist the management and solutions team in identifying process steps and requirements to facilitate continuous improvement of the payroll process and strategy.
- Support process documentation and execute on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Identify and document interim and long-term payroll related processes and procedures to ensure optimal system utilization and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze complex client requirements for payroll, benefits, time, and human resources policy and procedures.
What You Will Need
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. PayrollOrg Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designations preferred.
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in HR Administration/HRMS, Payroll, and VMS software/environments. Experience with Employer of Record (EOR) payroll environments preferred.
- Positive outlook and attitude with solid technical and problem-solving skills. You will take the initiative to seek answers, solutions, and positive outcomes in a timely manner for both the client and Magnit.
- Possess the HR, payroll knowledge, and the necessary competencies to deliver value to Magnit’s clients.
- The ability to research complex payroll process issues and develop remediation plans to mitigate any risk to the client and Magnit. This includes the ability to perform basic and complex research and communicating results to internal and external stakeholders.
- You will set priorities, organize your day, multi-task, change direction, and provide prompt follow-up. You will strive to exceed client expectations in every interaction.
- Anticipate and meet future client needs through effective planning that aligns with our vision, goals, and strategic initiatives.
- Possess excellent MS excel spreadsheet skills with a concentration on reference, lookup, and logical functions
- The ability to measure, monitor, and control quality outcomes with strong process management skill working towards defined key performance metrics.
- Recognizing and resolving complex issues within appropriate timelines and with a sense of urgency
- Support Change Management and be adaptable to a flexible work environment while keeping focus on meeting defined goals and deliverables.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SAS etc.) is a plus. Adept at queries and report writing is considered a plus
MUST have US and Canadian payroll experience
Compensation: Salary range is $90,000-$100,000 USD annually
Salary rate is based on experience, skills, and geographical location
