SAP Operations Senior Analyst: The Impact You’ll Have On The Organization and World 

  • By partnering with business process owners, the SAP Operations Senior Analyst will successfully drive process standardization across multiple departments, resulting in reduced operational costs and enhanced workflow efficiency. 
  • Through collaboration with global functional teams and external service providers, the analyst will ensure a high uptime for SAP applications, enhancing business continuity and user satisfaction. 
  • You will play a key role in executing successful enhancements and projects, which collectively contribute to improvements in response times and user engagement with SAP systems. 
  • Utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills, the SAP Operations Senior Analyst will facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring that stakeholder needs are clearly understood and addressed, leading to higher project success rates.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:  

  • Engages with business stakeholders to identify and define high level business requirements. 
  • Collaborates with lead functional consultants in driving and delivering SAP solutions and partners with business process owners to elicit and document functional requirements. 
  • Partners with business process owners and other technology groups to create foundational artifacts (testing scripts, process documentation, training, etc.). 
  • Collaborates with AMS service providers to ensure best practices are used to configure and develop SAP solutions. 
  • Supports business teams in all testing activities and engages in incident resolution and data recovery. 
  • Works with business process owners to support data migration as required in project execution. 
  • Participates in Incident Root Cause Analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Serves as overall escalation point for all Tier 1 applications, managing SLAs and KPIs with AMS with exposure to basic ITIL processes (IM, RF, PM, CM). 

What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities): 

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems management or related technology field is required. 
  • Certifications required for SAP MM, PP and SD. 
  • 5 to 7 years in leading SAP ECC MM, SD and PP project work and support; SAP S/4HANA is a plus. 
  • Experience in process manufacturing, chemical industry. 
  • Experience with Plant Maintenance and Quality Management is a plus. 
  • Proven track record of success in collaborating in full cycle SAP implementations. 
  • Broad exposure to SAP solutions implemented in diverse business functions required. 
  • Desired previous experience in migration to SAP S/4HANA migration (brownfield or greenfield). 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with exceptional influencing and written communication skills. 
  • Previous experience in a managed service environment a plus.
