Job Purpose
The Product Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Extel's flagship data products, focused on equity research, trading and listed corporates. You will be marketing to Sell-side, Buy-side and the IR teams and C-suite of listed corporates. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business objectives and drive product growth.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy:
- Develop and execute end-to-end product marketing plans, from pre-launch to post-launch, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and inform product positioning.
- Collaborate with product teams and sales to define product messaging, positioning, and target markets.
- Oversee a small marketing budget for the products, ensuring efficient allocation of funds and tracking ROI.
Product Promotion:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote the pre-product survey, driving participation and gathering valuable customer insights.
- Plan and execute successful product launch campaigns, including press releases, social media initiatives, and targeted marketing activities.
- Manage product updates and feature releases, ensuring effective communication to the market.
Lead Generation:
- Develop and implement lead generation strategies to drive qualified leads and support sales efforts.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective lead nurturing and conversion.
Advertising and New Market Activities:
- Explore and implement new advertising channels and marketing initiatives to reach target audiences and drive product awareness.
Events:
- Collaborate with the Event Coordinator and sales teams to deliver successful award celebrations for the winners of the Extel rankings.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in product marketing, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Experience in digital marketing desired.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of working experience.
- Experience in the finance industry or a related field.
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools.
