We are searching for Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Be one the primary technical reference point of the mechanical team.
Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems.
Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs.
May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
Analysis and optimization of device and components performances.

An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

MSc. in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering (PhD is a plus).
Experience: 10y min in industrial mechanical design (experience in team leading is a plus).
Deep knowledge in mechanical design, GD&T and tolerance stack up.
Deep knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic technologies (applied to biomedical devices is a plus).
Deep knowledge on Design for Reliability & Manufacturability (Green Belt certification min. Black Belt certification is a plus).
Knowledge of the 3D modeling (PTC Creo).
Knowledge of PLM systems (PTC Windchill).
Knowledge of international standards (applied to biomedical devices)..

Nice to Have

Knowledge of biomedical R&D documentation.
Knowledge of mechanical simulations (FEA ANSYS)
Design Control and Design Transfer expertise.
Knowledge of the of NVH analysis tools (Matlab, LabView)
