Role  

We are seeking an Associate Vice-President for the Global Asset Allocation team. This role involves producing investment-relevant reports on strategic asset allocation, with a particular focus on long-term themes in equities. The ideal candidate will write thematic reports on sectors, industries, ETFs, and country indices. They will also have the unique opportunity to engage directly with our Strategist, contributing to ideation processes for reports and other initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Conduct independent thematic research on equities, focusing on sectors, industries, ETFs, and country indices with a long-term perspective.
  • Write and contribute to special reports that highlight actionable insights and key market themes.
  • Analyze competitive dynamics, macroeconomic, sectoral, and industry trends to support research and generate innovative ideas.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful completion and timely delivery of research projects.
  • Proofread and refine research outputs to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Contribute to the Quarterly Tactical Asset Allocation update and participate in discussions of Monthly update.
  • Respond to client inquiries on global asset allocation, participate in calls, and effectively communicate findings.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in equity research, strategy, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of equity markets, including ETFs, sectors, and indices.
  • Superior writing and editorial skills, with experience producing reports.
  • Analytical expertise, including experience with financial data and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, visualization, or modeling an asset.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to generate and execute impactful research themes.
  • CFA designation or progress toward it is an asset.
  • Experience in a client-facing role is a plus but not required.
